The pre-reformation home and administrative centre of the Norwegian Archbishops. In 1983 a fire destroyed two large wooden buildings in the Archbishops’ palace.
A new museum was erected in their place, housing many of the most spectacular finds from the archaeological excavations on the site. Here you’ll also find the reminds of the Archbishop’s mint.
